STANLEY ARCOPresident

He was born in Laranjeiras do Sul, in the interior of Paraná. He graduated in Theology from the Adventist Education Institute (IAE), now the Adventist University Center of São Paulo (UNASP), in 1987. He worked for 17 years as director of the Youth Ministry in different regions. He was also executive secretary at two administrative headquarters of the Adventist Church in southern Brazil, as well as assistant to the president at the South American office of the denomination. He presided over the Adventist Church in Chile, Bolivia, and for the states of Bahia and Sergipe. In August 2020, he was appointed as one of the vice presidents of the South American Division, headquartered in Brasília. In 2021, he was chosen to be the president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for eight countries in South America, and was elected for a new term in 2022, at the world assembly of the denomination. He is married to Regiane dos Reis Arco and father of three daughters: Dilsiane, Monise and Thaís.

EDWARD HEIDINGERExecutive Secretary

Edward Heidinger is a native of Puerto Inca, Huanuco, Peru. He studied Business Administration at Unión Incaica, now Universidad Peruana Unión (UPeU). After completing his degree, he remained there to begin his degree in Theology, graduating in late 2003. He also has a Master’s degree in Theology from the same institution. He began his pastoral ministry in Tarapoto, Peru. He then served in Moyobamba. He was a leader in administrative headquarters in Peru, assistant to the president of the South American Adventist headquarters for two years, and in 2015, he was elected executive secretary of the denomination for eight South American countries. Married to Susana Delgado, he has two daughters: Priscilla and Rebekah.

EDSON MEDEIROSChief financial officer

Born in Curitiba, capital of Paraná, he has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Lutheran University of Brazil and a postgraduate degree in Financial Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS). He has a master’s degree in Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR). He began his career at institutions of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná. He then served as CFO of Casa Publicadora Brasileira (CPB) for eight years. He held the same position at the church’s headquarters for Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. He was also CFO of the denomination in the state of São Paulo for another three years. In November 2021, he returned to Casa Publicadora Brasileira as CFO, a position he held until May 2024. Married to Zuleica Reis de Medeiros, the couple has two children: Edson and Marcos.
